The protagonist has possessed the beautiful noblewoman, Countess Oriana, from her own novel. In a world she has always admired, Oriana is destined to fall victim to dangerous men because of her beauty, leading to her untimely death. However, she is saved by the cold-blooded Duke Emerick, who is entangled in scandals due to his own obsession with a noblewoman. Realizing they are kindred spirits, both caught in the turmoil of love and rumors, Oriana proposes a deal to Emerick to escape her fate. "Not only can I help dispel the rumors, but I won't interfere with you— don't you want a decorative wife?"
Thus begins a contract marriage romantic comedy aiming for a dreamlike life as an enviable couple (in name only) in order to evade scandal.
